Hardener (Similar to RC)(Good Heat Resistance)/ TPUA-AC528

Key feature

● Similar to RC

● NCO: 6.0 ± 0.2% by weight

● Appearance: almost colorless liquid

● Better heat resistance

● Enhance the bonding strength of adhesive

● Increase the heat resistance of adhesive

After the addition of TPUA-AC528, the ready-to-use double-component adhesive should be applied within a period (pot life) which is determined not only by its content of rubber, but also by the other ingredients of the formulation (e.g. resins, antioxidants, solvents, etc.) If the adhesive is not used within this period of time, it may become increasingly difficult to apply and its viscosity increases rapidly until irreversible gelling ultimately occurs.

The almost colorless TPUA-AC528 is designed as curing agent for adhesive based on hydroxyl polyurethane, natural and synthetic rubber; owing to TPUA-AC528 has the feature of good hot-resistance, it is particularly suitable for light-color polyurethane, adhesive system. Because the solvent is ethyl acetate , TPUA-AC528 can be used in those countries where the use of methylene chlorides is restricted.

Typical Properties

Chemical composition

Approx. 26% aromatic polyisocyanate in 74% ethyl acetate

Intrinsic color

Almost colorless liquid

NCO content, % by weight

Soluble in various esters, ketones and aromatic solvents

Storage stability

Reacts readily with moisture; for the best performance it should be kept dry and stored at temperatures betweens 5oC and 32oC

Compatibility With Solvents

TPUA-AC528 can be diluted with anhydrous and alcohol-free ethyl acetate, dichloropropane, trichloroethylene, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, toluene, and other similar solvents. The addition of relatively by using lager proportions of the solvents is mentioned above.
