Introduction

APU-20-80J is a light colored terpene phenolic resin and has a high softening point and used as a tackifier for chloroprene adhesive and hot-melt adhesives etc.

As this resin has a narrow molecular weight distribution and some polar group, it is compatible with various kinds of elastomers, resins, and soluble in various kinds of solvents.

APU-20-80J is useful especially for a grafted polychloroprene adhesive which is mainly used for bonding PVC leather, since they are possibly reactive to cross-linking agent.

Characteristics

1. Widely ranged compatibility
2. Impart to solvent type adhesive longer tackiness retention time and excellent phasing resistance
3. Widely ranged solubility
4. Increase adhesion strength
5. Increase heat resistance
